At the stroke of midnight, P and his wife brought out a cake for me. It had a photograph of me and BG on it! It was beautiful! P had also put candles, which read ’29’. 😡 We a had great time, cutting, eating and applying it on each others face! 😀
As if all this wasn’t enough, they also had a gift and card for me! Reading the card brought tears into my eyes. It was the perfect card, which described the bond I and P share. He picks out the best cards and writes the best words! The gift was super-cute too. 🙂
The next morning, we all got ready and headed out to Hanumangundi Waterfall. It was about 90km from their house. We had breakfast at The Ocean Pearl. Awesome idly-vada dipped in sambar and some strong filter coffee!
We reached the the waterfall in about an hour and half. We had to get down the steps to reach the water. On reaching, we regretted not carrying extra clothes. The water was wonderfully cold and so inviting that you just want to get wet. Unfortunately we couldn’t! But nevertheless we went as near to the waterfall as possible. It was beautiful. I guess the waterfall would be in it’s full glory during monsoon.
After the refreshing time, we drove back to The Ocean Pearl for lunch and headed home. P had a cricket match to play that evening at his office. They were having a cricket tournament among the employees, with multiple teams from various divisions. So the plan for the evening was for him to play and us to cheer! Sadly P’s team lost the match. But it was fun cheering and listening to the commentary.
By the time we reached home, it was around 8 PM and our bus was at 10:30. The guys decided to play board games again. 😛 We left at 9 to have dinner and headed towards the bus stand.
The two days were awesome and though it’s been a week now, I am still recollecting the nice time we had! 🙂 It was a great birthday, very different from the one last year, where we had a quiet time, all by ourselves. This time it was fun, laughter, loud chatter, games and a lot of roaming around! I hope it only gets better in the coming years! 😀
